What is a Fotomat?

First off, I need to mention that fotomats are a bit before my time.  Therefore, I took to the internet to do some research. From that extensive research I found that (before my existence) drive thru photo booths were a huge hit and located in parking lots across the nation. These photo booths were established so consumers could drop off their film without having to leave the comfort of their own car. In other words, they would simply drive thru, drop the film off, and return a day later to pick up their photos. Tada and now you have your precious memories!

However, these drive thru photo business eventually started to decline from technological advancement and the introduction of one-hour photo labs. This left a lot of these photo booths abandoned and eventually refurbished into things like coffee shops and small businesses. Or in this case the World Famous Crochet Museum. I absolutely love the idea of taking a piece of US history and turning it into art!

Visting the Crochet Museum
