Lincoln City Oregon | Lincoln City Float Fairies |Oregon Glass Floats | Glass Floats Lincoln City

Lincoln City is famous for their glass floats, and every year from mid October to Memorial Day float fairies flock to the beach daily to hide glass floats for beach goers to find and take home for a souvenir. This is my sad story on how I came, I saw, and well went home empty handed. No glass float pour moi! The three of us..and Lemon scoured the rough beach conditions for over an hour hoping to locate a glass…

Oregon Coast Road Trip | Otter Rock | Depot Bay | Devil’s Punchbowl | Tillamook | Flying Dutchman Winery

Well we knew we wouldn’t get through this whole trip without a lil rain. Anndddddd it’s here! Flood warnings, high wind advisory, the rain just won’t quit. We even got flagged down by a park ranger because a tree fell on the road! But stuff like this makes for the best travel stories. We haven’t stopped giggling since the rain started. So this is one thing I learned when I was really young….When you travel things NEVER go as planned….

Cape Perpetua, in the Siuslaw National Forest was one of the most recommended spots, when I told people I was doing a coastal Oregon roadtrip. Here viewers have the pleasure of literally seeing nature at its best. You’re able to see multiple natural wonders in short walking distance. Including Cook’s Chasm, Spouting Horn, Devil’s Churn, and Thor’s Well. With names like that you know $h!+ is gonna be cray!!! You get a slight uneasy feeling in your gut when you’re…

Heceta Head Lighthouse | Tour Heceta Head Lighthouse | Oregon Coast Road Trip

I have been so impressed with the state park system here in Oregon. Everything is so easy to understand, so clean, and so beautiful. It’s an outstanding park system offering amazing experiences. The Heceta Head Lighthouse exceeded my expectations. I was not expecting to have park employees at the lighthouse ready to answer any question and take guests on guided tours. I also wasn’t expecting such an interactive tour and visit. We spent hours exploring the lighthouse and the grounds around it….

Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area | Oregon Sand Dunes | John Dellenback Dunes Trail

And all of a sudden I was in a desert…in Oregon?!? Approximately 40 miles of dunes to be exact. The largest coastal sand dunes in North America. We decided to do the John Dellenback Dunes trail, which is a pretty easy one-mile loop trail. When you reach the dunes you can run out and explore… then pick back up on the loop when your done making dunes angels! The hardest part of this hike is how much time you want…

Bandon Oregon | Oregon Coast Road Trip | Thing To Do in Bandon

Bandon Oregon | Oregon Coast Road Trip | Thing To Do in Bandon

Bandon makes me feel like I’ve stepped into a New England seaside town, they’ve even got the chowda to seal the deal. Yum Yum Yummy! Lot and lots of chowder. So much that it was hard to decide where we should eat, but Tony’s Crab Shack seemed to be the busiest on the boardwalk so we quickly decided this was our place for a seafood treat. I tried the New England style Clam Chowder and the Bandon’s Famous Crab Sandwich….

Gold Beach Oregon | Oregon Coast Road Trip | Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor | Things To Do In Gold Beach Oregon

Ahhh! So happy we’re actually officially on our Oregon adventure now. Exploring the Gold Beach and Brookings area. We are staying in the pet friendly cabins at Ireland’s Rustic Lodges. The cabins are just adorable. Comfortably fitting all four of us and we even have our own fireplace to keep us warm and cozy. The staff is extremely helpful and we only have to walk down a small path to be directly on the beach. After we ate breakfast at the…
