Mokulua Islands | Kayaking to The Moks | The Twin Islands Oahu

Mokulua Islands, the Twin Islands, or as most locals refer to as… The Mokes! There they are! And I’m swimming to them. Haha! Just kidding, the most popular way to get the the Mokes is usually by kayak. The small islands are about a mile from Kailua and Lanikai.  You can rent kayaks in Kailua to get to the island. Only certain shops have permits for their kayaks to end up at the Mokes. I recommend Kailua Sailboards and Kayaks. No…

Lincoln City Oregon | Lincoln City Float Fairies |Oregon Glass Floats | Glass Floats Lincoln City

Lincoln City is famous for their glass floats, and every year from mid October to Memorial Day float fairies flock to the beach daily to hide glass floats for beach goers to find and take home for a souvenir. This is my sad story on how I came, I saw, and well went home empty handed. No glass float pour moi! Newport Oregon | Oregon’s Coastal Town of Newport | Coastal Oregon | Yaquina Bay Lighthouse

So we’ve been staying in Newport, Oregon and this town is exactly what I felt a coastal Oregon town was going to look like. This is now my fav town, thus far…(I feel like I say that every day now!!) Heceta Head Lighthouse | Tour Heceta Head Lighthouse | Oregon Coast Road Trip

I have been so impressed with the state park system here in Oregon. Everything is so easy to understand, so clean, and so beautiful. It’s an outstanding park system offering amazing experiences. The Heceta Head Lighthouse exceeded my expectations. I was not expecting to have park employees at the lighthouse ready to answer any question and take guests on guided tours. I also wasn’t expecting such an interactive tour and visit. We spent hours exploring the lighthouse and the grounds around it….

Bandon Oregon | Oregon Coast Road Trip | Thing To Do in Bandon

Bandon makes me feel like I’ve stepped into a New England seaside town, they’ve even got the chowda to seal the deal. Yum Yum Yummy! Lot and lots of chowder. So much that it was hard to decide where we should eat, but Tony’s Crab Shack seemed to be the busiest on the boardwalk so we quickly decided this was our place for a seafood treat. I tried the New England style Clam Chowder and the Bandon’s Famous Crab Sandwich….

Otter Point | Otter Point Lookout | Otter Point State Recreation Site | Hiking Otter Point

On the way out of Gold Beach we hit up a local favorite Otter Point. There are two popular hiking trails located here..one takes you down to the beach while the other takes you out onto the rock formations above! It is rather easy to miss this amazing hike if you didn’t know it existed. When you’re leaving Gold Beach right after you pass over the Rogue River Bridge you want to take the road to the left which with…
