Szalay’s Farm: Tasty Ears for Many Years

Szalay’s Farm: Tasty Ears for Many Years

Szalay’s Farm is one of my favorite places to visit when I’m in Ohio. You can always expect a big crowd and a lot of fun at this farm!!  With live music, a market, an eatery, and so much more it’s no wonder it’s a local favorite!

Open from June 3rd to October 31st the farm and market is located right by the Cuyahoga Valley National Park bike trails, therefore many visitors ride their bikes to the farm to spend the afternoon eating and mingling with friends.
After labor day they transform into a pumpkin galore. Stocked with pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks, and straw barrels. This is also the prime time to select your pumpkin for carving! I mean they have literally 100’s to choose from!

They also have a weekend eatery open till October 23rd and this is where you can let your mouth water over the delicious sweet corn. I also got the hot apple cider today which was pure yum! Other items they have are fresh fruit ice cream sundaes, salmon and turkey burgers, fresh squeezed lemonade, and deli dogs.

If you go on the weekdays and the eatery isn’t open, check out the market. Serving fresh produce, jams, chips, crackers, snacks, popcorn and more. You’ll find something to take home in your belly!

Make sure to check out the 3 acre corn maze, which has celebrated a different theme each year since 2003. The celebration this year, “85 Years of Tasty Ears”!

October is in the air. I can feel fall and I’m so excited for it.  If you can’t make it to Szalay’s I hope you can at least head out to a farm or pumpkin patch in your area.

Adventure awaits!
